In a monumental tribute to one of the most electrifying players in NFL history, the Detroit Lions unveiled a larger-than-life statue of Calvin “Megatron” Johnson outside Ford Field today. Johnson played his entire nine-season career with the Lions (2007–2015), retiring as the franchise’s all-time leader in receiving yards, touchdowns, and receptions. The statue, designed by acclaimed sculptor Omari King, stands 12 feet tall and is set on a granite pedestal engraved with Johnson’s career milestones and a quote from the man himself:
