The quarterback was out for the year but returned in 2024. When the dust settled on this past season, the Jets had fired their GM and head coach. The new regime decided that moving on from Rodgers was right and chose to release him.
The veteran quarterback has said that he has things going on in his personal life delaying his decision to sign with the Steelers, but with no real competition, he can afford to wait out the situation and take his time.
