Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly preparing what has been described as a “transfer attack” as they look to secure the signature of Borussia Dortmund midfielder Felix Nmecha during the January transfer window.
According to German outlet BILD, the Bundesliga side could consider selling the midfielder for a fee in the region of £52 million.
So far, Spurs have made just one senior addition this month, completing the signing of Conor Gallagher from Atletico Madrid.
That arrival was balanced by an outgoing, with Brennan Johnson leaving north London to join Crystal Palace, leaving the club with one major incoming and one departure during the window.
Following an underwhelming start to the season, it has become clear that further reinforcements are required.

Dortmund are said to be reluctant to negotiate below their £52m valuation, particularly with several Premier League clubs monitoring the situation.
Nmecha has earned high praise in Germany, with Dortmund boss Nuri Sahin previously describing him as “exceptional”.
However, when questioned about a potential return to England ahead of the European clash with Spurs, the player played down speculation and stressed his focus on the match itself.
Tottenham’s interest comes despite Gallagher’s arrival, as midfield depth remains a pressing issue.
Rodrigo Bentancur is facing a lengthy spell on the sidelines due to injury, while Frank confirmed earlier in the week that Joao Palhinha has also picked up a knock.
With injuries piling up and results falling short of expectations, Spurs appear determined to strengthen further before the end of the month.
A move for Nmecha would add a different dynamic to their midfield options, with talent scout Ben Mattinson even suggesting the 23-year-old has the qualities to one day “replace Rodri” at Manchester City.
