Chicago, IL – The Chicago Blackhawks are gearing up for the most thrilling season in franchise history as they prepare to celebrate 100 years of hockey greatness during the 2025-26 season. Dubbed the “Always an Original” Centennial,” this epic yearlong event will pay tribute to a century of game-changing innovation, championship legacy, and legendary players — while launching the franchise’s long-awaited official Hall of Fame.
From unforgettable game nights to throwback giveaways and rare memorabilia, fans will be taken on a journey through every iconic era in Blackhawks history. The celebration will feature four themed chapters, each immersing fans in the moments and players that defined a generation — with in-arena and digital experiences that blend nostalgia with next-gen excitement.
The festivities begin with the Home Opener, where Blackhawks alumni will skate alongside today’s rising stars, symbolizing a bridge between generations and a passing of the torch. And come Fall 2026, the Centennial will reach its apex with a fan-driven event marking the 100th anniversary of the team’s first-ever game.
But that’s not all: the Blackhawks are etching history with the launch of their inaugural Hall of Fame class. Fans, alumni, and media will unite to vote for two inductees — one each from the Modern and Heritage Eras — honoring the all-time greats who shaped the franchise and revolutionized the sport. A third Builder (e.g., coach, broadcaster) may also be selected.
