Chicago Bulls guard Ayo Dosunmu isn’t holding back when it comes to rookie Matas Buzelis. In a league obsessed with the next big thing, Ayo believes Chicago already has theirs. “He loves the work,” Dosunmu said. “A tremendous worker.” But this wasn’t just a typical rookie shoutout. Ayo didn’t just praise Buzelis’ hustle, he compared his potential rise to none other than Giannis Antetokounmpo. Ayo sees a similar fire in Buzelis. “I know Giannis is a Hall of Famer, top 20, top 30 player [all time], but Matas has a chance to really dominate the game like that,” he said. “He’s 6-10, 6-11, and as he continues to get stronger, continues to get in the weight room, he’s only going to get bigger.” If this kid hits, Chicago’s future changes overnight. After years of searching for their next franchise star, the Bulls may have found one hiding in plain sight. Ayo believes it. The work backs it up.
